Background Remover

The Background Remover removes or replaces the background in an image. You upload a photo and get a version with the subject isolated, so you can use it on a new background or with transparency. Handy for product shots, portraits, or graphics.

The Background Remover uses segmentation models to classify pixels as foreground (subject) versus background, then outputs a cutout—usually with alpha transparency—so you can composite the subject onto a new color, scene, or layout. Quality depends on contrast between subject and backdrop, edge complexity (hair, fur, netting), and image resolution. Studio product shots on solid colors segment cleanly; busy natural backgrounds or motion blur require more manual touch-up. Some workflows offer inline background replacement; others export PNG for designers to finish in Figma or Photoshop. If edges are rough around hair, refine in an editor or reshoot with a green/blue screen for chroma keying.
