1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use SynthQuery, we may collect:
- Content you submit. Text, files, or URLs you paste or upload for AI detection, readability, plagiarism checking, humanization, grammar, and other analysis features.
- Account and profile data. If you register or sign in (for example via Supabase authentication), we process identifiers such as email address, user ID, and settings needed to run your account and billing.
- Usage and technical data. Logs and metadata associated with requests—such as approximate timestamps, tool used, rough usage volume, IP address or device signals as processed by our infrastructure, and error diagnostics—so we can operate, secure, and improve the service.
- Payment information. Paid plans are processed by our payment provider; we typically receive limited billing metadata (for example customer and subscription identifiers) rather than full card numbers, which are handled by the processor.
2. How we use your information
We use the categories above to:
- Provide, run, and improve analysis features you request (including routing workloads to our application and compute backends).
- Authenticate accounts, enforce plan limits, prevent abuse, and secure the platform.
- Communicate with you about the service, billing, and support where appropriate.
- Meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests where required.
No training of third-party foundation models on your text. Text and files you submit for analysis are processed to deliver the product you asked for. We do not sell your submissions to train third-party general-purpose AI or large language foundation models. Internal service improvement (for example quality monitoring, caching, or abuse prevention) is limited to operating SynthQuery and does not change this commitment. This aligns with what we state on our AI detector and related tools: your text is not used to train models in that sense.
3. Retention and deletion
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, security, and accounting requirements. Analysis payloads may be stored for a limited period to support features such as history, debugging, or plan entitlements, or may be processed transiently depending on the tool—exact retention can vary by product area and plan.
You may request deletion of personal data tied to your account where applicable; some records may be kept in anonymized or aggregated form, or retained if we must comply with law or resolve disputes. Contact us using the details below to exercise deletion or to ask what applies to your account.
4. Service providers and subprocessors
We rely on vetted infrastructure and service providers. Depending on configuration and feature usage, these may include:
- Cloudflare (or similar edge/DNS/WAF providers) for routing, security, and performance in front of our application.
- Plausible Analytics (self-hosted or cloud) for privacy-oriented, aggregate site analytics where enabled.
- Stripe for payment processing and subscription management.
- Supabase (or equivalent) for authentication and application database needs.
- Additional backends for specific features (for example caching, document storage, or similarity search) as described in product documentation.
Each provider processes data under their terms and, where required, data processing agreements. We do not allow subprocessors to use your content for unrelated advertising or for training their own public foundation models.
6. Your rights (including GDPR and CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data we hold; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as defined under applicable law. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA; EEA/UK users may have rights under the GDPR.
To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your request before fulfilling it.
