SynthQuery's Duplicate Content Checker compares two documents and highlights identical or near-identical sentences using Jaccard similarity and sentence-level overlap detection. Useful for catching accidental copy-paste across a content calendar, verifying rewrites moved far enough from their source, or confirming your spun article isn't a lightly-shuffled twin of the original. Unlike our Plagiarism Checker (which scans the open web), this tool compares two inputs you supply.
What this tool does
Each document is split into sentences with Unicode-aware boundaries. Jaccard similarity measures shared word sets after stop-word removal; overlap score counts matching sentences. Matched sentences are highlighted side-by-side with color intensity proportional to similarity, so you can skim to the exact duplication hotspots.
Use cases
Content agencies verify rewrites are substantive, not cosmetic. Academic integrity teams compare student submissions against each other. Editors check two drafts from the same writer for self-plagiarism. Bloggers verify that a republished guest post has been sufficiently rewritten for their audience.
